The special thing about this (now nostalgic) development is that it was created in 1987. At that time, the first MOS-Fet performance came onto the market. However, these were usually used for audio linear amplifiers. With two 2SJ50/2SK135 units each, you can also switch quite quickly (200kHz) and build a Class D amplifier (apr. 300W at 8 ohms). Also interesting to see how work was done back then. A plaid paper and pencil, still a long way from a PC with a CAD program....
