Here and there it's also fun to deal with nostalgia a bit and why not build an FM tube radio.
Perhaps the special thing about the tuner is the use of capacitance diodes (instead of a multi-turn capacitor that is no longer available) for tuning.




To make the whole thing mechanically stable, I even made a sheet metal chassis. As is usual with such devices, there is also a beautifully shaped wooden housing with a front panel and scale drive.
