It should really just become a measuring device for detecting Radioactive Radiation. But then there was added the recording of other parameters:

  • UV component in light
  • The color content of Red, Blue and Green in light
  • Temperature
  • Air pressure
  • Real-Time clock & Calendar (battery bufferend)

The device is powered by a battery and is therefore mobile. The greater advantage was the provision of a high DC voltage (for the Geiger Müller counter tube) without placing significant strain on the battery.

 

It is operated via a touch and the parameters are displayed graphically. All measured values can be read via USB (connection to a PC). The battery is also charged via the USB cut point. Measurement values can also be recorded on an internal SD card (data logger).

An STM32F302VET6 (STM32cubeIDE) is used as the MCU. For outdoor use, the board has found place in a sturdy, shapely, plastic housing.
